Laura Camacho Salgado

Hi! I’m Laura, a Colombian-born, Norwegian-based curator, music industry consultant, facilitator, jury member, creative strategist, and event producer with years of traversing diverse cultures and languages. Currently, I'm spearheading artistic transformation as the Artistic Transformation Facilitator at the Cultural Transformation Project, backed by Creative Europe and led by Trans Europe Halles.

With a decade of experience in the music industry, I've held pivotal roles such as heading the international program at Oslo World festival, curating interdisciplinary day programs, and managing delegate programs. Even during the pandemic, I led initiatives like Map the World and the Utopian Manifesto connecting festivals across borders.

Passionate about equity, I've taken the reins of the Norwegian chapter of Keychange, dedicated to empowering underrepresented genders in music.

My academic background in literature, arts, and cinema fuels my research on migration and cultural narratives.

Having served as a Program Advisor at Film from the South Festival and as a Jury Member of Spellemannprisen and Global Toronto, I possess a global insight into the cultural sector.

Interdisciplinary artist of the collective Borderless/borderline, where I explore diverse mediums from embroidery to creative writing.
