Converging Crises: Learnings and RE:Considerations

The COVID-19 crisis swept across our industry with an immediacy and devastation that simultaneously sidelined and shone a spotlight on many ongoing and intertwined global crises. Perhaps most pressing is the climate emergency: While our sector resumes operations and artists, industry, and audiences increasingly return to live events, the mounting impacts of climate change must be prioritized. Artists and music organizations around the world continue to raise awareness of the impacts of music activity on climate change, calling on our sector to make commitments, hold each other accountable, and engage in meaningful action to reduce the environmental impacts of our industry’s operations. Here, we look to innovators across the sector to lead us forward, RE:considering how the lessons of the pandemic can lead to new approaches to fighting climate change.
